Callback is not called asyncronously
O que esta a acontecer é que a callback associada ao cancelamento do Goal (cancelCallback) só esta a ser executada quando a callback da ação (goalCallback) termina ... Ou seja parece que o nó não faz as coisas em simultâneo...
Nesse exemplo a solução poderia passar por verificar alguma coisa durante o "while" mas no meu caso concreto a ação não vai ser cíclica .. ou seja necessito mesmo que a cancelCallback esteja a correr em paralelo da goalCallback.
Envio print do que acontece, e envio em anexo o package que fiz para este simples teste...

Cannot cancel a single goal
If I call

however, if we add an id of a currently active goal it does not work.
Moreover, if you call this more than once an error
[ERROR] [1555689970.982826]: Attempt to get a goal id on an uninitialized ServerGoalHandle
appears ...
change the name of the ros package to my_action_server
Can I ask for your help with this @TiagoaTavares ?
It is a matter of changing the package.xml and the CMakeLists.txt
