For historical reasons, it would be good to copy the content of the program page on the new website. I just clicked on an old link to https://2019.midl.io/program/ and got a "Page not found". The program does not need to appear in the navigation tab but similar to the CfP we could have it only accessible from the home page footer.
The Medical Image Analysis Special Issue on Medical Imaging with Deep Learning 2019 is finally linked from sciencedirect:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/medical-image-analysis/special-issue/10KNBXB2JMW
We should link to it from the MIDL 2018 website
Similar to how PMLR is linked from the full papers page, it would be good to link to the (under construction) arXiv compendium from the extended abstract page.
Not sure it's worth it but if other feels that make sense, I guess @mjorgecardoso could create a web version of the booklet (currently the pdf has bleeds and crop marks)
Currently, https://midl2019.netlify.com only shows one tweet and does not have the "Follow" link shown in http://2019.midl.io
The keynote of Dr. Pearse Keane should be added to the keynotes page when it has been uploaded to YouTube.
A bit of a tedious task but it would be nice for each of the paper to not only have a link to the paper but also to the video and the reviews:
https://2019.midl.io/program/full-papers.html
I have seen that the reviews are available by clicking on the paper title but this is a bit counterintuitive given that the link to the paper is made more explicit. As such as explicit "reviews" link would be helpful (as opposed to the videos, this part can be automated with a regexp).
We already have a navigation to the full papers (https://2019.midl.io/program/full-papers.html). We could maybe start the full paper page by a pointer to the PMLR proceeding? This would unclutter a bit the navigation pane.
Also, we will hopefully have an arXiv compendium for the extended abstracts. This would play a similar role as the PMLR proceedings but for extended abstracts rather than full papers:
https://arxiv.org/html/1907.08612
Notable the "Aims and Scope" of MIDL should be made clear. This could be by having a navigation to the corresponding midl.io page: https://www.midl.io/aims-and-scope.html
https://midl2019.netlify.com/program/social-events.html is currently a bit dull. A few pictures can be found on Twitter or at https://photos.app.goo.gl/frx6dUSXgfhSfWqPA
Using one for each social event would be good
For historical reasons, it would be good to keep a trace of information currently listed on:
The 2018 edition used a photograph of Amsterdam on the homepage and on the social media accounts. We need to verify who made the photo used for the 2019 edition and under which license it is available to us. I couldn't find it back with a reverse Google image search.
This would be similar to the original website and could incentivise sponsors for the coming years.
All oral presentation also had posters. The divide is more on "Full Paper" vs "Extended Abstract". This should be better reflected in the navigation menu
Might make the channel more visible to have a direct link with an icon on the left, instead of only a text link on the front page
Similar to the 2018 website, the area chairs should be listed with their main affiliation.
