These docker files to support Java development should be removed and all VSTS Java documentation should correctly point to the proper ones here: https://github.com/Microsoft/vsts-agent-docker.

In addition, the corresponding docker files on the Docker Hub (https://hub.docker.com/r/javaalm/vsts-ubuild-full/) should also be removed.

Is the ubuntu-xplat-build using the old and deprecated vso-agent, or the new vsts-agent ?

Should I instead be using the vsts-agent-docker docker files instead of what is published by JavaAlm

I can't find clear instruction / documentation on what we should be using to support building Java (and other non .net) projects with VSTS.

There are important files that Microsoft projects should all have that are not present in this repository. A pull request has been opened to add the missing file(s). When the pr is merged this issue will be closed automatically.

Microsoft teams can learn more about this effort and share feedback within the open source guidance available internally.
