@PerthCharern I was looking into this and am a bit confused because it seems that the V2 ReferenceService is using V3 deserializers. That doesn't seem correct to me. https://github.com/Microsoft/OpenAPI.NET/blob/master/src/Microsoft.OpenApi.Readers/ReferenceServices/OpenApiV2ReferenceService.cs#L91

I agree it's incorrect. I believe I was only trying to get V3 reference working, and I overlooked this. Are you taking a look at this?

Got a fix for this. Writing unit tests for it right now, and will be sending out a PR shortly.
