Auto Amazon Links (formerly Amazon Auto Links)

Welcome to our GitHub Repository

Auto Amazon Links is an open source WordPress plugin that inserts Amazon products in WordPress powered web sites.

Installation

The latest development version can be found here.
The latest stable version can be downloaded here.

Upload amazon-auto-links.php and other files compressed in the zip folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.,
Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.

How to Use

Upload amazon-auto-links.php and other files compressed in the zip folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
Go to Dashboard -> Auto Amazon Links -> Add Unit by Category.
Configure the options and select categories.
After saving the unit option, go to 'Manage Units' to get the shortcode or if you check one of the insert option, the links will automatically appear in posts or feeds depending on your choice. The widget is avaiable in the Apparence -> Widgets page as well.

Stuck on Loading on every page on the plugin

Description

Hi,

I installed the plugin on my WordPress (v 6.3.2) and made sure to update it to the latest version. However, I can't use it because I get stuck on a loading page on every single page of the plugin. I tried to troubleshoot by desactivating other plugins, but doesn't seem to work.

Install the plugin in a Wordpress 6.3.2 website.
Go through the plugin pages.

Currently contextual product links are only supported by widgets. Make it possible by units as well.

Fix Table Collation

It seems the table collation for the custom database tables are not set to the site's default.

Introduce Unit by Text

There are cases that the user gets blocked by the server specified with the url with the URL unit. In that case, the plugin fails to generate product links. For users who get this trouble, it would be useful to have a means to genera product links from given text such as HTML source code.

Problem while transferring a site

Add Shortcode Parameters for Direct Search

Allow the users to display product links with the shortcode by specifying search terms and other search options. This enables the user to generate product links without creating a unit.

Delete Expired Caches Automatically

It seems currently they are not deleted automatically which results in an excessive size of database table .

Show Warning Indication for Units with No Product in the Unit Listing Table

For search and url units, when no product is found, show a warning icon or mark the unit title red so that the user can easily detect which unit has a problem.
