bash-utils's Issues

Unusual Error

Hi,
This tool has been incredibly useful for navigating to files in deep locations which is a god send. However ive encountered a rather odd issue. Im not sure what's causing it but this specific path, and the few others like it, all flare up as if it does not exist, however if I tab to get the content of the bookmarked folder, it will show. So clearly terminal understands the path, but for some reason will not cd directly to it, but I can CD to a folder within it. Ive attached a screenshot and attached a TXT of the terminal output, hope this helps,

Cheers,
Alex

Tab completion

Hi Izaak,

Great feature set in the bash version of apparish and elegant code. It is much easier to install and covers 99.9% of my needs as a complete addict to the original C version.

The only thing I am missing is that the bash functions wrapping the C version allow mid-name tab completion.

E.g. - if I have a label named Something_or_other, I can tab complete with "other[TAB]". The bash version I have installed doesn't allow that. Is that on purpose? can the more generic tab completion be implemented?

Many thanks!
Afonso

Problem with xargs in .bourne-apparish using BASH_VERSION 4.4.20(1)-release

Hello, first thing, thanks for writing apparix, I have been using the C version for years now, it's really useful for people with "deep" directory trees.

I reinstalled my system and tried to start using the "shell only" version, but I am having some problems when using the TAB completion. After I bookmark some directory (e.g. conf), if I try to issue to con and press TAB, I get the error:
to conxargs: command: No such file or directory
If I type the full path (to conf) and press Enter, it works.

The "solution" I found was to replace the lines

            read_array <(_apparix_compgen_bm "$tag" | \
                xargs -d $'\n' command printf "%q\n")
            COMPREPLY=( "${goedel_array[@]}" )

with : in .bourne-apparish. But whit this solution I loose the TAB completion.

Would you have any suggestion on how to fix this issue?

Thank you!
