diverse's Issues

R documentation is a bit different from actual diversity function

sorry please ignore my previous issue -- I just saw detailed documentaitons below (I guess if the list of "types" in the "arguments" section in the documentaion could be listed in the ordered way as shown in the "details" section, it would be great.)
thanks for making the package!

Plot functions

Some plot functions would be interesting, as for example for:

  • Visualizing matrixes
  • Creating bar plots for proportions
  • Creating interactive treeMaps that present the main measures of diversity.

Change nlevels to unique()

Levels are tricky because they keep appearing even when you subset a dataframe.
We need to change the function get_data() in utils.r that we use to compose the matrix from a dataframe, for example for the function values(). Otherwise you get an error when the dataframe was subsetted from an original one.

Normalization of values

It is needed to implement a function to normalize values. This function should include normalization techniques as:

  • Revealed Comparative Advantages RCA (parametrized)
  • Maximum and log normalization
  • Z Scores

Define domains of parameters

It is needed to define, validate and document, the domain of the parameters used by some measures, i.e. True Diversity and Rao Stirling. The source papers are not explicit about this.
