Hey there! Stumbled upon your package while looking to implement something similar for our project. We are thinking of publishing some adapter modules for fs-adapters.

One thing I am interested in is the ability to query an adapter's capabilities - not all FS adapters may be able to list, rename or delete files (think HTTP-based ones), and so it would be nice to be able to check if the adapter can via methods like adapter.canListFiles(), adapter.canRenameFile() (or perhaps adapter.can("list files"), adapter.can("rename file")).
