We have migrated the site, from Drupal (which comes with a remarkable amount of work in terms of security patching, upkeeping, etc.) to a dynamically generated static file. We are using Ryver for the site generation and Polymer for the basic widgets.

Here is the last TODO for the web site:

• Fix link at the top in http://freesoftwaremagazine.com/articles/making_movies_free_software/
• Make sure Author, short link are clickable (zindex problem, already fixed for section)
• Write README in GitHub, explaining how to clone this repo and make the site
• Add Adsense back to the magazine
• Make images in articles look better, add missing captions
• Improve artilceInfo.ejs, make it look more like articleCard, no square brackets
• Fix problem with broken image showing in articles without main image
• Check colours and add logo
• Tidy up code, adding common functions to info from FSM module
• Make menu on the left look better
• Make authors page look better
• Check ALL inner links, make sure they are not using the old /issues/issue_01 format
• Make issues page look better
• Make books pages look better
• Add headings to sections
• Add head title in sections, issues, books
• Check that ALL tables are rendered properly, with caption
• Try to make menus "selected" if possible on the left
• Go through the list of links on Webmaster Tools, check that each one works
• Add analytics
• Add facebook comments
• Add social sharing buttons

We worked really hard to get the site back up as quickly as possible, since it was throwing 404 on Google (and did so for 2 weeks!). However, now it's at the stage where the stuff to fix is fairly minor.

I will mark it as done as time goes by.
