A URL shortener isn't a boilerplate. Also it's strongly unadvisable to use something like this as a boilerplate as it's literally just made as a demo.

Validate pull requests with Travis

some links miss a description

The contribution guidelines suggest this format:

* [project-name](http://example.com/) - A short description ends with a dot.

but some links don't have such description.

Add HTML5 Boilerplate

H5BP is one of the oldest and most successful boilerplates out there. It's a great starting point for many people.

Rename `CONTRIBUTIONS.MD` to `CONTRIBUTING.md`

The standard name for contribution guidelines is contributing.md, not CONTRIBUTIONS.MD.

Then GitHub will display it when opening new issues too, similar to this:
