Some datasets failing regularly

  • ioc is not building because the link http://www.worldbirdnames.org/master_ioc-names_xml.xml is often blocked by their server from being download using Java, Curl etc. Additionally, when it fails in this way sometimes (?) an empty DWCA is produced. (There is now a check that the resulting archive is at least 5kB)

  • iocml -- probably the same problem (being blocked) causing the Excel reader to fail

  • pbdb -- an error with separators not being escaped, perhaps.

  • dsmz -- an SSL connection error (the site is using HTTPS, so the prefix should be changed), not immediately sure of the problem. Their server configuration looks good.

  • clements -- this gives a 404.
