Meta: triaging issues/PR about locales out of tier1

Hello all,

As localization opened a few days ago, I have started to label issues and PR accordingly in order to triage them.
However, I'm wondering what would be the best course of action for issues and PR for locales which are frozen.

I understand they should be closed/declined. However, should we create labels for each locale so that there is an opportunity to see them separately/provide potential future communities with a way to find them easily?
Or should we create a "l10n-frozen" tag to just differentiate such PR/issues?
Maybe both?

Let me know what you think.

Report a problem with "Object.seal()"

When I visited the link

Incorrect Japanese translation in the JS Remainder operator

MDN URL: https://developer.mozilla.org/ja/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Operators/Remainder

What information was incorrect, unhelpful, or incomplete?

A sentence in the first praragraph has been translated incorrectly.

The original sentence:

It always takes the sign of the dividend.

Current:

これは常に配当のサインを取ります。

This Japanese sentence means "This always takes the signature of the dividend (of a stock)."
(Maybe it was translated using a machine translation.)

Specific section or headline?

The second sentence in the first paragraph.

What did you expect to see?

The Chinese(Simplified) translations have wrong links

Приглашаем принять участие в проекте по переводу контента MDN / Call to action: Help us maintain MDN's Russian content

Mozilla Matrix, где можно подробнее
обсудить предстоящую работу и задать вопросы.

This is a call for help. A number of MDN locales are already unfrozen (meaning that edits can be made), and have active communities working on maintaining them.

But there are a number of Russian community members who want to see MDN ru content unfrozen too! I'm working with Alexey Pyltsyn (@lex111) to make this happen.

What would this involve?

We want you to join a ru-locale active maintenance volunteer team. Your responsibilities would involve:

  • Doing a share of reviews on pull requests filed against the MDN ru content.
  • Doing a share of fixing content bug issues filed against the MDN ru content.

There also may be other tasks that come up, such as keeping ru pages in sync with en-US pages when they change, and creating new ru translations if you are interested. We would expect you to devote a few hours per week to these tasks — whatever you are able to handle comfortably.

How do I get involved?

If you want to help, write a comment in this issue thread to let us know! You can also join the MDN Russian translation /#mdn-l10n-ru room on the Mozilla Matrix server to discuss the work more and ask questions.

Readme: Add a note about disabling GitHub Actions on forks

I've forked this repo and had commits added on my fork due to cron/scheduled tasks (resulting in a mandatory push force to sync my fork w/ mdn/translated-content.
A quick solution for this is to disable the actions on the fork.
I think it would be useful to add a quick note about this in the Readme.

I'll suggest a PR later.

Fix little typo in CSS hyphens page

In the CSS property page for hyphens, there is a little fault in the Spanish version.
In the HTML example, the 3rd one is:

And it should be:

Besides of that, the result page just below doesn't exist.

Equivalent service of https://whatsdeployed.io/s/DLi/mdn/content for translated-content

Currently writing some "guidance" post for localizers, I was wondering if it is currently/would be possible to use something like https://whatsdeployed.io/s/DLi/mdn/content but for translated-content.

As far as I can tell, some commit which were merged today on translated-content are not displayed on the list.
(ex. c398cf9 as of 2021-03-12)
I was wondering if some additional setup was required/another "what's deployed" page should be set up or if it is not possible.

Issue with "行内格式化上下文(Inline formatting context)": Incorrect chinese translation

MDN URL: https://developer.mozilla.org/zh-CN/docs/Web/CSS/Inline_formatting_context

What information was incorrect, unhelpful, or incomplete?

The chinese translation of 'when there is no more room in the inline direction another line will be created' is '如果一行的空间不够,将在行内方向上新开一行'.

It is incorrect, because the translation means that ’if there is no more room, a new line will be created in the inline direction', the acctual meaning is 'in the block direction'.
