steelseries-weather-gauges's Issues

Degrees symbol

I have seen that this has been an issue before. I have checked my html code, and it is UTF8. SteelSeries Gauges it the most recent (at least I think so)

I get the question mark instead of the ° symbol in the latest and average field for the wind bearing gauge. All other instances with the ° symbols are shown correct.

Any help to this?

JSON.parse Error: Invalid character at position: 1268

Using Weather Display and latest version of SteelSeries-Weather-Gauges.

customclientraw.txt is continuously updated and looks like:

Trouble With Configuration

This is more of a "can you please help me" than an issue, but... I found this awesome plugin on this site - http://www.nooblog.fr/extensions-skin-pour-weewx/. When I installed this on my own weewx installation, the gauges are way larger than those shown on that site and mine are placed in a single column on the left hand side of the screen instead of in rows. I can't find anything in the .js file that looks like it would affect this. Is there something I need to change to affect the layout?

Actually... after looking at the html source in my broswer, it looks like three gauges should be on the first row. I have tried to view the page in FireFox, Chromium and Tor... all get the same single column results.

Steel series throwing exceptions

Hi,

I'm trying to install this skin but getting the exceptions/errors below. I'm running weewx 3.2.1 with owfs 0.17 on Ubuntu server 14.04.
I just wondered if you could see where the problem might be. Below I've uploaded a screenshot of the webpage, which is missing items most likely due to the exceptions.

File to Edit?

I would like the gauges to be displayed more to a line (right now I have max three to a line) since there is a lot of wasted real estate. I thought the file /etc/weewx/skins/ss/index.html.tmpl would be the one that I would edit to modify this, but that doesn't affect anything. What file do I need to edit to put more than three gauges on a line?

Web page locks up if pressure in mbar

Using weewx 3.4.0 with VantagePro2 and gauges V2.5.11
Updated ss/skin.conf (or weewx.conf - same effect) with the [[Groups]] definitions to force metric units - in particular:
group_pressure = mbar
Web page with gauges retrieved data once, then locked up - the 'time to next read' counter kept decrementing, but apparently no new data read.

Traced to the fact that in gauge-data.txt we have "pressunit":" mbar", but gauges.js appears to be looking for the string 'mb'

In gauges.js I duplicated every "case 'mb':" statement I could find with "case 'mbar':" and this seems to have solved the problem.
No doubt there is a more elegant solution!

Beginning with PHP 8.0 SSGauges fail

When updating server PHP to 8.0 or 8.1 I get a parser error, incorrect syntax. The background still displays but there are no values and the set will not update. Only a scrolling error message is shown in the banner.

Humidex ovwerflow in gauge-data.txt.tmpl

Computation humidex throw math overflow if dew point is negative in gauge-data.txt.tmpl.
A one "if" more is necessary... compute humidex if dew point is > 1 (or bigger number) else humidex equals to outTemp.

See: 2nd line and 3 last lines

if $varExists('current.outTemp') and $current.outTemp.raw is not None and $varExists('current.dewpoint') and $current.dewpoint.raw is not None

if ($current.outTemp.raw > 6) and ($current.dewpoint.raw > 6)

...
...

else

set $humidex = 'N/A'

end if

else

$humidex = $current.outTemp.raw

end if

If temp is lower then 15°C humidex is not usually used…

Not an issue, just need some help

I have used WEEWX on a RPi for a while, all working well. I love the SteelSeries Graphics, but struggling to get them to work. Can you give me some advice please?

The PNG files are being uploaded by FTP, but are the Square default WEEWX graphs, not the nice gauges. None of the PNG files are showing on the default page, can only can see the wrong PNG files if I go to the URL of the PNG direct.

I’m sure it is a config option which I have done wrong.

Any help appreciated, can send parts of CONF files if that helps.

The FTP is to my own personal VPS, so have full access.

Thanks
