ic7100-gps-update is a terrific idea but I couldn't get it to work since the python-gps download requirement is no longer available for python2. I tried to rewrite the code for python3 since that is available but translating the "\0x" etc to b'\x00' was such a mess I gave up. The difference between python2 and 3 regarding strings and bytes is just too difficult for my so so translating skills. Is there any chance someone out there has succeeded in doing this in python3? Or maybe an image for the raspberry pi?
