etsy-python's Issues

EtsyV2 object has no attribut etsy_oauth_client

Etsy recently updated their API and now there is an attribute error "'EtsyV2' object has no attribute 'etsy_oauth_client'. I went through and fixed all the base references for the URL's to the current version, but it appears there are still problems. This was when running api = Etsy(yourapikey) from the ReadMe. Not sure what is going on here, especially as I am new to the Etsy API, but any thoughts/help would be appreciated.

Continued Maintenance ~ PyPi package name

Hi, I've been writing a new wrapper for the Etsy v2 API, since @sscheetz stopped maintaining his over at: https://github.com/sscheetz/etsy-python2

I'm setting it up to auto update itself as the method table changes through CI. It also has support for full typing, and I intend to maintain it.

The current state of Python Etsy API wrappers is just tons of different ones that all are broken at some level, and with very disparate names.

I'd love to be able to have a fully working and maintained API wrapper with the etsy package name so that people can easily access it. As far as I can tell, I'm the only person actively working on this.

Is there any chance you'd be open to transferring that PyPi project to me?
@mcfunley

Actively maintained?

I see that the last commit is >3 years ago, so I'm assuming the answer is no, but even trying to install via setuptools or PyPI I get a Invalid IPv6 URL error. If this isn't being maintained, are there any other options or would I be best just wrapping up REST calls?
