Starter Template Project for Jekyll

A Jekyll starter project based on @shakyShane https://github.com/shakyShane/jekyll-gulp-sass-browser-sync repo

Packages Included

  1. Jekyll - $ bundle install
  2. Normalize - included under assets/vendor folder
  3. Responsive Grid - included under assets/vendor folder
  4. Font Awesome - included under assets/vendor folder, assets/font/font-awesome
  5. NodeJS - $ npm update
  6. Gulp - $ gulp
  7. BrowserSync - run from default gulp task

System Preparation

To use this starter project, you can run bundle install to run the Gemfile which will install Jekyll and other dependancies

Install node packages by running npm update

Usage

Jekyll and BrowserSync can be run using Gulp (make sure Gulp is installed globally)

Run default gulp command gulp to start jekyll server

See gulpfile.js for list of individual gulp tasks
