The simulator needs a format that contains the message content, and the state of wires along with devices during a step.

all the generation and simulation of protocols are in main, so we need to abstract it outside of main so that we can use main for testing further protocols

This is very strange

When testing with a large dataset, an error happens due to the index of the assigned colors is out of the boundary of the list of available colors.

Right now the side bar is just set to be 30% of the width of page. This looks bad when the page is at full width.

The sidebar also does not disappear when the page is resized to be too small and interferes with the fa-bar.

The protocol definition page should support a layout for the following elements:

• description
• Instruction
• Examples

timestep over the allocated time to the last time a device retrieves an info or wire would cause an error to happen, an extended timestep should just be blank
