The Sprite Atlas Addon for Blender allows users to render animated objects to a sprite sheet. The textures and animation data can then be exported for use in other 2D software.
This addon was originally built to render 3d models to textures that can later be used in 2d game engines to create a pseudo 3D effect. A prime example would be factorio.
Specify animations that will be rendered in sequence and automatically tiled onto the sprite sheet.
Specify individual sprite sizes, final image size, and framerate directly in the Addon interface. Rendering via the addon will automatically render and tile the animations specified from a user definable number of angles.
Export images in all the file formats blender supports, and export animation data to JSON and XML formats, these files can be read by other programs to render animations back.
Download the repo as a .zip file and install it from the blender preferences menu.
