gloom's Issues

Implement projects

Thanks you for this, finally better app than official GitHub Mobile Client. What about implementing projects tab, that's the main reason why I need client because on website on mobile it doesn't work and looks good.

Gitea support

It would be great to have Gitea and ForgeFed support as well since federation is coming to Gitea and GitLab soon.

No clue if GitHub will support federation, though.

I receved error with build

Could not determine the dependencies of task ':api:extractDebugAnnotations'.SDK location not found. Define a valid SDK location with an ANDROID_HOME environment variable or by setting the sdk.dir path in your project's local properties file at 'C:\Users\Night\Downloads\gloom\Gloom\local.properties'.

Release

Can't we just make releases for the apps? The nightly links don't work

Add file viewer

Issue

The apps aims to be a frontend to the GitHub service, but does not offer a file viewer.

Solution

Add a file viewer with support for syntax.

Additional context

A huge QoL feature that the official mobile GitHub app lacks, which is a deal breaker for me at least, is the ability to zoom in or out of the code. You are limited to view the code, line wrapped or not, at a certain font size, but sometimes, you may want to look at a part of the file more closely or see a big overview of the file. Web browsers allow to zoom into sites, including the file viewer of GitHub which is effectively what Materii may want to support natively.

Bugged

Opening starred on my profile crashes the app - issue that's not fixed for 8 months

Explore and Inbox tabs are empty

Issues can't be opened

i tried to use gloom but its not in an usable state honestly, sadly

Allow staring from inside the repositories page

I've noticed that inside the repo's page you can't star, you can only see the amount of stars. I don't understand why? Especially since the star and fork are so big. This should be added :)

Artifact expired

When I open the link, it shows as an error message that the artifact is expired

Highlight text encased between ``

One difference between this and the official GitHub app that (kinda) annoys me is that text encased inside `` don't have a translucent background. It may not sound important, But it makes lists a lot harder to read.

Feedback/Suggestions: (feat: File Viewing)

Referencing to PR #29.

Gestures

Double tap to show/hide ui

  • Remove: Unnecessary feature. This can also be a pain for users if they attempt to select individual lines too quickly.

Selecting lines

  • Add: Single press within a selection to deselect.

Pinch to zoom in/out

  • Needs to be more responsive with text files. Images zoom perfectly.

Toolbar Options

  • Add: Download any file. (Not just certain ones).
  • Add: Wrap lines.
  • Add: File history.
  • Add: Print option.
  • Add: Text search within a file.
  • Add: Open in browser. (Share function can already achieve same result).

GitHub token permissions

This looks like a great app, thank you for the work and sharing the code.

Why does the app require such an extensive list of permissions -

Gitea/Forgejo API support

Being able to sign into a Git forge with a similar-ish-to-github API like Gitea or Forgejo (Codeberg) would be very useful :)
