Generate Vert.x Application (Java Template)

  • Command Line using Maven

instructions by Redhat

mvn io.reactiverse:vertx-maven-plugin::setup

Provide the following details when prompted:

	project groupId
	project artificatId
	project version
	Vert.x version
	verticle class name

  • Vert.x Website

Click on the checkboxes of the dependencies, which you would like to include in your project

Clone Repository

  • HTTPS

git clone https://github.com/matcdac/vert-x-application.git

  • SSH

git clone [email protected]:matcdac/vert-x-application.git

  • GitHub CLI

gh repo clone matcdac/vert-x-application

  • WGet

wget https://github.com/matcdac/vert-x-application/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

Launch Tests

  • Vert.x

./mvnw clean test

Maven Build and Package

  • Turquoise Space

mvn -Dmaven.artifact.threads=25 clean eclipse:eclipse -DdownloadSources=true dependency:go-offline dependency:resolve-plugins install

  • Vert.x

./mvnw clean package

Deploy on Local

  • Turquoise Space

java -jar target/vert-x-application-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT-executable.jar

  • Vert.x

./mvnw clean compile exec:java

  • Redhat

Listens for any changes and re-deploys

mvn clean compile vertx:run

Verify

Hit the following url on any browser

Check Port

jps | grep "vert-x-application"

Kill

  • Elegant

kill `lsof -t -i:8888`

  • Forceful

kill -9 `lsof -t -i:8888`
