Migrate instance to new underlying physical host.
The old machine needs to be decommissioned prior to a move across the country. Either I need to:
- Figure out how to wholesale move the paused VMs from the original Intel host to the new ARM one.
- Rebuild the Docker Compose cluster, restoring Postgres database and
public/systemuploaded content.
Given the architectural differences, the latter may be more practical. I do have a PostgreSQL dump just prior to freezing the original cluster, as well as a docker cp extracted copy of the public/system folder.
Technically this duplicates or can naturally resolve #4.
Media previews fail to generate, GIF upload fails.
It seems a lack of functional ffmpeg within the Docker Compose instance is preventing media previews from being generated, and GIF uploads from succeeding. All previews appear as their blurry low-resolution colour gradients.

Update to latest Mastodon version.
There have been two waves of critical security vulnerabilities since initial provisioning. The instance was shut down last week after the latest announcement to prevent exploitation until updates could be arranged.
Uploaded media needs to be external to Docker VMs.
When initially constructed, the Docker Compose setup was unable to utilize an external (dom0) mount for the /public/system directory. This needs to be corrected, and media rescued from the paused containers.
