Hi there 👋, I'm Marko Stanimirović

I'm a core member of the NgRx and AnalogJS teams, a Google Developer Expert in Angular, and an organizer of the Angular Belgrade group. I actively contribute to open-source software, share knowledge through technical articles and talks, and enjoy playing the guitar. I hold a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Belgrade.

toDeepSignal throws an error when the state property can be null

If we have a property of the state that can be null, and initialize to null, the toDeepSignal() function throws the following error:

TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'Symbol(SIGNAL)')

at isSignal (core.mjs:2216:48)
at rxMethodFn (rx-method.ts:63:17)

if we initialize the property with a value other than null it does not throw the error
