weekend-picks-template's Issues

Geocoding

Hi,

I am trying to use the Geocode script in this template. I have all the X&Y Locations stored in Excel Sheet (CSV Format), and not with MapQuest. How can I pull such data, so it can be integrated with the Geocoder?!

Do a quick pass at branding / styles

This site is looking pretty good, but it could use a little personality. I'll go through and make some minimal adjustments to make the site look interesting.

Firefox bug

Marker filtering doesn't work, I get this error message:

document.getElementById(picks.selected) is null
[Break On This Error]

document.getElementById(picks.selected).className = 'markerfilter';

Bold marker title

Should we make the marker title bold? I'm actually wondering why this doesn't happen with mmg by default. Any idea?

D.C. to DC

Just a minor style thing but DCist always uses DC over D.C.

Use pins from marker API instead of bare maki icons

Having a local collection of maki icons in this repo isn't too future proof. If we were to load icons from the marker API, we could be sure that this will work with any icons that we add to the mapbox in the future.

Fix filter interactivity

Right now, when I toggle a filter, the displayed markers don't change until I span or zoom on the map.

In addition, if I toggle off a marker, pan on the map, then toggle the marker back on, the marker will be shown in it's old position from before I disabled it, then it will instantly jump to it's proper location after zooming/panning again.

App crashes on Launch

When I tried to change the MapID as my Map ID it crashes the app.

define kNormalMapID @"yaseen2591.h4k49gfj"

define kRetinaMapID @"yaseen2591.h4k49gfj"
