Maniac Mansion Mania is a fan-adventure series about bringing Maniac Mansion to an extended live and adding to the adventurous world. The series is designed as an episodic format so that every developer can contribute her or his own story to the universe of Maniac Mansion. And it is all free! All games and resources can be downloaded by everyone.

The starter-packs contain basic elements (such as the complete SCUMM GUI) and functions which make it easy to build upon. Nonetheless, you have to learn at least some scripting commands. At the moment, the tutorials provided by us are only available in German, but feel free to ask your questions in the forum's international section.

So far, there's no official stance to this. But it should be fine as long as there's a german translation available.

Bei Maniac Mansion Mania geht es darum, kurze Adventures in Form von Episoden einer Serie zu produzieren, die im Umfeld von Maniac Mansion spielen. Das Besondere daran ist, dass jeder kostenlos daran teilnehmen darf. Sei es um einfach nur die vorhandenen Episoden herunterzuladen und zu spielen, oder um das Maniac Mansion Mania Universum mit eigenen Episoden zu erweitern. Dabei ist es egal, ob der Protagonist nun Bernard, Razor oder gar Dr. Fred ist.

Ein Starterpack ist eine Vorlage für die Spieleengine Adventure Game Studio, die zur Entwicklung grundlegende Dinge wie das SCUMM-Interface und Charaktergrafiken enthält.
