iconpacks.browser's Issues

How to run the Icon Browser?

Sorry if this is just me... but how do I run the browser? I can clone the repository, but nothing to run...

Must be missing something obvious :(

Thanks in advance!

Will not compile - numerous errors

Describe the bug
Using Visual Studio 2019 version Version 16.11.4 and Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.8.04084 the IconBrowser application unfortunately does not compile "out of the box" - a significant number of errors appear during the Build process.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Download ZIP of Browser app
  2. Right-click file, uncheck blocked status
  3. Right-click and scan file for Viruses
  4. Drag top level folder from zip and drop into a suitable dev folder

Expected behavior
Clicking on the big, bright green universal 'RUN' or 'PLAY' button in Visual Studio 2019 should compile the app and start execution once the build is complete.

What happens
At first, the build complained about not having .NET 4.7 (I'm normally using 5.0) so I downloaded the .NET Framework standalone installer for the 4.7 framework and it installed successfully. Restarted Visual Studio 2019 and went back to the app and selected CLEAN then REBUILD.

Now there are 12 errors.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 10 Professional
  • Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19043.1288]
  • 64-bit PC : 32GB Ram / Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 3900 12-Core @ 3100 Mhz, 12 Core(s), 24 Logical Processors

Additional context
All I'm trying to do is find a simple, clean way to put an icon on a button. What a ride.

.exe for download

Hey guys.
I'd really love to use your IconPack and therefore the IconPack Browser too.
Unfortunalty i am not able to run the code without putting a lot of time into it with installing the right dependencies. It would be really awesome if you could just make a .exe build of the IconPack Browser available.
