I would like to see if there is an option to make the window size and the position as user defined and persistent.

When I use the "Detect" option, I'd like to know precisely which input language the translator is using.

This feature is available on the web front end, but missing from the app. It would be extremely helpful to have it here, too.

Please add option selected another instance like lignva or google or Bing or.....

A scan (see here for details and background) just revealed the APKs at your releases are signed using an expired debug key ("denyAfter 2019-01-01"). As that has security implications, may I ask you to please switch to a proper release key, and provide the corresponding APK signed with it? Thanks in advance!

The program has been non-functioning during the last months, since "lingva.ml" went offline.

This leads to 2 requests:

• To make it possible to set instance address in Settings manually, so that this situation doesn't repeat itself in the future.
• To set the program's default instance to "translate.plausibility.cloud".

Hope to see these changes in the future update

Some apps like GoldenDict and Anki Droid are adding an option to system highlighted text menu that allows to translate the word or create a card with it, respectively.

It would be nice to do so for Arna, 'cause sometimes you need to translate the whole sentence, and doing it via system menu would be the easiest way

i get error "something went wrong!" trying to translate this:

Similar to #15 . Steps:

1. Make a translation from e.g. Detect to English - OK, text is translated and shown in the bottom text box;
2. Change target language to e.g. French - NOK, translated text stays in English, while it should be translated to French.

There's a question whether step 2 should work only when Enable automatic translate is on or off. IMHO it should work even if it's off

I know how to solve this issue but I do not feel comfortable enabling this (Developer) setting of my windows. In 4 years I didn't see any project which has this requirement.

So why it's required and what's the logic behind it?

I find this apps simple yet the necessary features are available and useful and lightweight. Its nice. I was thinking if offline translation. It would be Awesome.

My languages don't saved and after open against it's rest to default selected
Or I set themes to dark but after come back
I see it's back to system theme

Having detected language visible somewhere in the screen will help to identify what source language is used

• Directly change "Detect" into detected language may not be comfortable for some users
• Having detected language text beside "Detect" seems to be good, if possible use masquerade or resize text instead of "..." if the container doesn't have enough space

It would be nice to share highlighted text with Arna through system Share menu.

It's more robust option than sharing via highlighted text menu (see #23 ) 'cause some apps like Wikipedia are overriding its content, but they aways leave Share button

the design of the app is not bad, but I think it would be better if it was cleaner. I suggest something like this design:

Report an issue opens GitHub in WebView frame inside the app. It isn't convenient, especially when you haven't logged in yet: I couldn't return nor to app's issues list nor to app itself - I was stuck on the GitHub's profile page.

It would be better to open the link in external browser

Almost all modern phones are "tablet-sized", so it isn't convenient when you have main controls on the top - you always have to stretch your fingers to reach them.

It would be nice to have an ability to move toolbars from the top to the bottom. The order of bars I would prefer (from the bottom to the top):

1. Translate bar;
2. Languages bar;
3. Copy bar

When i translate for exemple a japanese sentence on original Lingva (or google trad)
初めまして、お元気ですか？ => i get the prononciation/Romaji writing: Hajimemashite, o genki desu ka
But with your app (also another Api, Lentil for Android), I don't get it, thus I miss a very great feature to learn & better understand what are each words i want to translate.
Whatever it is the "to translate" or the "translated" text.

I hope you can display the prononciation on the screen in the future.

I run a private Lingva instance and would like to use it with this app. Is is possible to add that feature? I know I could probably edit the source and build the app myself, but having an option to type in a link and press OK would be extra lovely for all of us self-hosting folks.

Fastlane's short_description.txt is limited to 80 chars. Your German one currently has more than 90 chars and thus is truncated when shown, in the middle of a word. As a native speaker, may I suggest to change it to

Alternative Oberfläche für den Google Übersetzer, die Privatsphäre respektiert

(it's missing one word to me more correct, but then would be too long again; this variant is fine, though – and better than the current truncated one)

Could you please add multilingual support for the app?
