gnome-shell-wobbly-windows's Issues

Does it work?

I was fiddling about with gnome shell yesterday and in between things I installed both the wobbly windows extension and the gravity windows extension. While after some tweaking I was able to get the gravity windows extension to work, I couldn't say the same about the wobbly windows. There were no obvious error messages either. Initially it complained about begin-grab-op and end-grab-op not being defined, to which I responded by changing these to grab-op-begin and grab-op-end respectively. While this did solve the problem with gravity windows and it worked subsequently, I had no luck with wobbly windows.

So, reiterating my question: Does it work at all? Or is it just not supposed to be quite there yet. And if it is the case, what is missing and what is left to be done? What are the prospects - is there any chance we are going to see this working? Is there anything that can be done to help with this?

Cheers!

Tested on Ubuntu Gnome Shell Remix (12.04) with Gnome Shell 3.4 and Linux Mint 13 RC with Cinnamon 1.4 (which is a different type of a beast I didn't expect it to work there yet, but at least in theory it should.. sometime in the future).

Stop spring size from going negative

Hi,
I know it's years since you wrote this. I think the main thing that makes this look a bit odd is that when you drag quickly, it can actually end up showing parts of the back of the window.

This shouldn't happen, I guess as the segments of the grid get smaller, the spring should get more resistive, idea of where I'd change the code so that the grid segments can never have a negative width or height ?

INSTALL ISSUES...

I cannot get your gnome-shell-wobbly-windows extension to work. For some reason my firefox does not do anything when I click ON in the extension website using the plugin: So I have to use a manual method. But if I pull your source from here at github.com, there aren't enough files to get it running and it doesn't show up in the gnome-tweak-tool, or activate if I symlink it to /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/...

Do you have any suggestions on what I can do. It looks to me like it needs more files, since all my other working extensions have about three or more files with the following extensions: .json.in prefs.js .css and the three make files... I really miss compiz, and really want this awesome plugin. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
