although the canvas that contains the experimental stimuli is created on basisof the size of the browser window (via $(window).height(); ), the div containing the canvas is larger than the actual browser window.

A stimulus that has a specified duration of 0 ( = will not disappear after its duration, but wait for an event to trigger so that the experiment continues) will not listen to events in certain circumstances, if its listening attribute is set to true.

This is the case if another stimulus has been presented before this 0-duration stimulus, which has a specified duration and its listening property set to true.

Important: not the response saving does not work, but the event listening itself!

To fix: event listening must work for 0-duration stimuli independent of the settings of other stimuli. The event listener is probably not correctly reinstanctiated for 0-duration stimuli.
