The goal of Football_Results_Predictions is to classify football matches in terms of Home win Away win or draw for matches in Polish Ekstraklasa, the highest division in polish national football.

Data will be probably primarily drawn from https://www.football-data.co.uk/poland.php and from https://www.wynikinazywo.pl/

Features concerning data to be implemented

Possible variables to add to data:

  • Information on the last season position of teams involved in a match (and if they were in ekstraklasa in the previous season)
  • Numer of seasons that the club resides in ekstraklasa
  • Some summary statistics of players in each team
  • Information on whether the match was played on different stadium than the home of home team
  • Information on performance in non-ekstraklasa matches
  • Column on days since last game was played
  • ...

Processing:

  • Create data with information about performance of each team in the last 3/5/7/10/etc matches
  • Translate variable names to english
  • ...
