The only eminently relevant ministry position as of right now is Financial Minister, but more will become relevant soon. We must decide, not only on ministries, but on ministers.

Many of the ruling party have already expressed concern over where we will locate the capital of our great nation, and this is something that must be discussed. Does anyone wish to propose a location?

We've had two confirmed dropouts of members. If this gains 6 upvotes, I will remove them from the player pool immediately, and re-check vote numbers. If this doesn't, I will leave the culling until Sunday.

I assume this literally means that the moment something has a majority of votes in favour, it is merged - rather than 'if it has majority votes on Sunday at 5PM'?

I think, as each minister is elected for a given role, they should be required to write the basis of laws (not extensive) for that department, and additionally be required to define the roll (which will be voted upon until it is refined and agreed to) so that ministers are clear of their requirements and limitations

(Correct me if I have chosen the wrong wording for the title).

Given that ministers live busy lives, leading an entire ministry on our own may cause issues when sudden absences occur or we take service leave.

This issue, I would like to generate some discussion about adding a secretary to each ministry. The secretary will be able to make decisions about their ministry on behalf of the minister. The secretary will be appointed by the minister of that department, and will be able to appoint or revoke this position at any time. As well, if a secretary makes a decision on behalf of the minister, the minister is allowed to revoke that decision.

There are some caveats to this:

• The secretary can't make any decisions which change what the secretary is capable of. Only the minister can do that.
• When the minister is next available, their first point of duty will be to confirm the actions which the secretary has carried out or reject and revert those actions.

If there is some interest in this, I will make a PR to the constitution stating this at some point in the near future.
