Precision for display, as well as rounding

Can the precision option be used for display, as well as rounding?

For example, if I'm displaying a column of sizes, I'd like them to be uniform at a precision of 2, which is the default. If there were values of 1 KB, 1.1 KB and 1.11 KB, I'd like them to display as 1.00 KB, 1.10 KB and 1.11 KB, instead of the original values as they are.

To maintain backwards compatibility, perhaps an extra option of displayPrecision could be added, which would right pad the rounded number with a '0' for the displayPrecision value.
