I'm trying to find where I can pass my user and password to the Paho-MQTT
I need a line like the below as best I can tell from the paho doc https://techoverflow.net/2021/12/27/how-to-set-username-password-in-paho-mqtt/
client.username_pw_set("myusername", "mypassword")
just not finding the python file

I've managed to get xapman to connect to my MQTT server and XAP800 units (2 of them). it's connected to the second unit because the first one is directly connected to the machine running G-Ware. All of the data seems to populate correctly into MQTT but changing any of the topics does not trigger any change on the XAP units themselves. Is that intended behavior?

Hey @Loafdude - this MQTT bridge is awesome!

Is there a way to get it to write all of the state to MQTT with the retain flag set? Without that Home Assistant (and presumably other automation systems) have an unknown state when they start until the next time xapman pushes an update on the topic.

what is this meant to run on and how would I set it up?

I currently have a XAP800 and XAP400 I would like to use this with.
ether from by headless Ubuntu server or the pi that's talking rs485 to the heat pump
