joomla-cost-benefit-projection's Introduction

Cost Benefit Projection (3.5.x)

This is a Joomla 3.x component.

Cost Benefit Projection image

Create Epidemiological Profiles for diseases and risks affecting your company. Detailed information on projected work days lost and costs. Create and edit activities and wellness responses for your workplace. Access to Small Business Modeling. Results displayed by gender. Network with other companies and wellness professionals.

Having seen the health priorities for your workforce, the tool outputs projections for how the interventions – which you have designed - are expected to benefit the company financially.

Benefits are calculated based on the model projecting reductions in workdays lost due to sickness, presenteeism and death.

Requirements

Due to the size of the permissional structure, you will need to increase max_input_vars until the permissions are able to save.

max_input_vars = 5000

Build Details

This component was build with a Joomla Automated Component Builder. Developed by Llewellyn van der Merwe

joomla-cost-benefit-projection's Issues

Cause/Risk Selection

Currently the tool allows us to select the main cause i.e.
HIV/AIDS (A.1.) and we can select
Tuberculosis (A.1.1.)
HIV/AIDS (A.1.2 )
HIV related infection (A.1.2.1.)
HIV related diseases (A.1.2.2)
All of the above can be selected at the same time. However this should not be. If the main cause A.1. is selctred we should not be able to select the other options

clear search Companies

The Clear button for searching companies on back-end is not working. It keeps returning the same search result. This is also happening if you navigate out and back or if you manually delete the search term.

Scaling Factors

When I click on scaling factors the Archived causes/risks show on top while the Published causes/risks are at the bottom. Is there a possibility to change it the other way around, where Published causes/risks will be on top and the Archived ones will be at the bottom?

Add the Full Name to cause and risk List in company profile

Causes and Risks: terms are too medical, they should be written in laymen terms as decided after a network meeting on the 22nd of June 2016. Yet to show the actual full medical terms is often still required so we will add the full name to the cause/risk table of each company. But will only be seen if the plus icon is clicked.

Cluster Interventions

The Cluster Interventions are not working properly.

On the front end, once I select the interventions that form my cluster, I am not prompted to add the cost and impact reductions. Nor can I do this by returning to edit the intervention later.

On the back end. when I select the interventions box, I do not get a drop-down list of interventions from which to choose.

Inconsistency age range

I am working on Mycomp from clienta

As you can see from the below. They only have males age 35-39 and females 50-54

image

However, when you look at the results section you can see work days lost for females age 35-39

Please find the videos and required annotations to be added on dropbox

Charts in Internet Explorer

The orange bar for Cost of intervention is not visible in the chart "Interventions Cost Benefit" under the following conditions:

  • Using Internet Explorer (Version 11 tested)
  • Logged in through front end (admin site is fine)

Edit Profile - Medical Turnovers

The fields for Medical Turnovers Male and female seems to only allow integer values. It should allow any number from zero and upwards. If you would like to limit the number of decimal places, then I suggest we use 2dp.

Adding the Usage Stats to the tool

Required CBP Tool Usage Stats – By SP and by Country

  • Total # Users
  • Advanced Companies

  • Basic Companies

  • accounts Used in last 2 months

  • Accounts Used in calendar year

  • employees in client organisations (for each of above)

Usage of same user account

Two people from NUST were able to work on the same User NUST account (at the same time). We thought this was not possible. What could be the problem which causes this to happen?

Medical Turnover Cost Factor

The tool shows that the Medical Turnover Cost Factor can only take numbers between 0 and 1. This needs to be removed, because numbers above 1 can also be entered into the tool.

Adding the Import Method for the 2013 Data

There is a mismatch between the old data 2010 and the new data for 2013.

This means that we will possibly need to rebuild the import method.

At this point we can see that there are far more data then in the 2010 data set, this could also impact the grouping of the cause/risks considerably.

Matthew please give us as much input as you can in regards to this, thanks!

Duration of Disease

This needs to be included. In this way it would be applied as follows

Work days lost of Problem = Annual work days lost x duration

Then the user sets the projected reduction in mortality and morbidity as being over the whole period rather than over the year.

I will provide a reference to the code as soon as possible so we can do it.

Burden of Disease

Please remove burden of disease column on WorkDays Lost Table. The Total Burden of disease should appear above the table as a percentage.

cost calculation

Looking at the code for calculating costs on the Joomla2 version (from line 1127) the calculations for cost of morbidity used a different format to presenteeism and mortality (see part of equation on working_days). Did this carry through to the Joomla3 version?

I don't believe it affects the end number, but for consistency - they should use brackets and operators in the same way.

Cost benefit ratio

I hope this is the correct link?

On line 456 the formula is incorrect

/ $this->interventions[$i]['items'][$a]['cost_of_problem_unscaled'];

it should be cost of intervention not cost of problem.

similarly line 458 should be changed in the same way

/ $this->interventions[$i]['items'][$a]['cost_of_problem_scaled']

error message

Hi,

Rachel was working with power Machine Tools Nam, belonging to clienta. She got an error message then could no longer use the site.

I can't view the company in the administrator end now either (see attached screenshot)
