Downscaling from high resolution results in awful quality

I'm unsure what method is currently used, but I can recreate the quality by downscaling in paint.net with nearest neighbor or bilinear (low quality mode).

I think nearest neighbor may be best for upscaling and not causing it to blur, but when used for downscaling it results in horribly pixelated results, especially when the original had intricate texturing like fabric/things that result in a Moiré pattern like effect.

Could you please add an option to select different resampling methods? Lanczos, Bicubic, & Nearest Neighbor would be great options, and anything else would just be extra (Bilinear, Fant).

Here are two example images that are downscaled to 512x512 to show you what I mean. The first is originally 7514x7514, the second is originally 3081x3081.

Nearest Neighbor downscaling (same quality as birme):

Bicubic downscaling:

Thanks for making the site btw, using smartcrop works amazing, and it's very easy to adjust the crop if its off from what I would have preferred.
