The BDs for both seasons were released as part of a Kickstarter campaign by Nozomi Entertainment and is the only release to feature the English dub. The earlier R1 DVD set only had the Japanese dub.

Early digital upscale with wildly inconsistent lineart. Some scenes have lines that have obvious edge enhancement and other scenes look like an oil painting. The chroma is also badly mangled.

The JPBD is a real stinker. It's a straight SD upscale and features all of the worst analog video artifacts that you can think of: rainbowing, dotcrawl, blending, etc.

• The authoring company thought it would be a good idea to add the "A Kite" logo on both sides of the video 😂.
• It's recommended to get the USBD since that is a proper remaster although it has its own issues, namely some scenes are upscaled from SD which indicates that parts of the original masters were lost.

Currently, this is just a simple README. I'd like to add screenshots of every show on the list to better illustrate the issues.

The idea for this right now is to

• Create a directory for every show
• Populate those with a README with basic information
• Add a subdirectory for images
• If a better source exists, maybe add comparisons

The upscale is bad but not QTEC level bad. It's still likely to be the best available source for the time being considering the DVDs for the TV series is heavily field-blended.

Much like previous titles, this is yet annother early digital upscale with the usual issues such as ringing and aliasing. Some scenes also have what looks like slight combing (?) around the edges.

• 16mm film footage out of focus (presumably because QTEC didn't calibrate the scanner to 16mm). Only 35mm film footage is on focus

• Digital redraws with aliasing, which were blurred (image 6 and 8)

• Has a grid-like pattern that appears randomly in every episode with no apparent reason on both film and digital (image 8)

Interlacing artifacts, aside from the already deinterlaced and decimated content.
Fucked chroma plane on some frames in random order.

This issues apply to the JP and US Blu-Ray.

I know these issues are much more fixable than most other shows on here, but I still find encodes of this show, that don't even make the attempt to fix it.

Still bad but slightly better than the earlier OVAs. There is noticeable residual combing in some scenes.

Perhaps the best-looking title to come out of OVA Blu-ray Box since it was the most recent one to be produced. Still looks bad though.
