Are there any side effects of setting FLAC__stream_encoder_set_streamable_subset to false? about libsndfile HOT 2 OPEN

I was hoping to get some guidance on my question. Please note this is related to #931.

I also noticed that there is a flac_subset_test() in tests/external_libs_test.c.
To my surprise when I add the following code in flac.c:

	if (! FLAC__stream_encoder_set_streamable_subset (pflac->fse, false))
	{	psf_log_printf (psf, "FLAC__stream_encoder_set_streamable_subset returned false.\n") ;
		return SFE_FLAC_INIT_DECODER ;
		} ;

then flac_subset_test passes in Windows, and macOS (Intel) BUT fails only on macOS Apple Silicon.
Shouldn't it fail in all OS? What is special about Apple Silicon?
