ibeaconscanner's Issues

For iOS

Can I use this beacon scanner for my app at iPhone/iPad?

KONTAKT iBeacon - only one iBeacon is discovered

When two KONTAKT iBeacons (http://kontakt.io) are near, the iBeacon Scanner discovers only one of them. The choice what iBeacon to discover does not change between trials.

Note:

  1. Both iBeacons are ranging by Apple's AirLocate demo app.
  2. Both iBeacons have the same Proximity UUID, but different Major/Minor combinations

KONTAKT iBeacon - Major and Minor are incorrect

With KONTAKT iBeacon (http://kontakt.io) Major and Minor does not always correctly recognised. When Major or Minor is incorrect, the app displays negative value.

Real Major:

41264

Displayed Major:

-24272

Note:

1. Correct Major/Minor can be viewer either from values printed on iBeacon's box or via Apple's AirLocate demo app.

2. The HiBeacons app however always correctly detect characteristics of iPhone 5 configured as an iBeacon (via AirLocate).

always on powered off state

Hi Liam, I am running iOS 10.10.2 on an iMac and was trying to run your application. I get always "Powered Off" as the state and couldnt understand what should be done in this case.

Thanks for the help,
José

Don't start/stop scanning in timer

Since you stop and start scanning in your timer it doesn't find all beacons because it stops too soon. You need to make the central manager to repeat the scan itself then you'll get optimal scanning :-)
