earth-reverse-engineering-utils's Introduction

Here are some random python scripts for working with retroplasma/earth-reverse-engineering.

Requirements:

pip install protobuf

Usage:

python find_overlaps.py <latitude_1> <longitude_1> <latitude_2> <longitude_2>

You may keep the comma after the latitude. The script will just ignore any trailing comma. The order of the <latitudes> and <longitudes> doesn't matter. The script will sort them automatically.

Example output:

> python find_overlaps.py 37.419714, -122.083275 37.420626, -122.085045

earth-reverse-engineering-utils's Issues

How to rotate the model in batches according to the geocentric coordinates without changing the position?

》In normalize_obj.py, the script normalize the mesh with a reference XYZ point instead of the mesh center. Therefore we could normalize several meshes with the same origin and keep their relative position. The script also rotate the mesh with latitude and longitude of the reference point, to align north/south and east/west axes.

PS:How to rotate the model in batches according to the geocentric coordinates without changing the position?

normalise_obj.py input structure?

Not sure how to structure the input for 'normalise_obj.py'
Is the path to the .obj included in the string like "python normalise_obj.py [path]" and then saved in the same folder with a ".2" suffix?
