Reaperi Cycle

A bare illusion of the project source, devoid of images, sounds and life. You might find something useful in the code if you work with the Sega Dreamcast.

This is my attemp at making an engine and a game at the same time. The guild as been working on the game for almost a year now, and I've been messing with DC programming for a bit more than that.

This project is using kos & kazade's libGL, some bare Lua for CSV/XML/JSON parsing, OGGVorbis for sounds. I've also been messing with dreamroq with success

finalize the getTextID function

need to figure out a way to get the good textID depending on situation

  1. special condition (for quest completion)
  2. events - quest

fix the portrait loading

something is wierd
the function used to check if the portrait was previously loaded using strcmp.

keep the dialogue simple

balance the dialogue, no one likes to read forever.
use poetry, metaphors. let the world unfold itself through imagery, montage, music, game mechanics.
