Study Guide

Week 1 is all about learning the ABCs of Ruby. You can't write a sentence without knowing the alphabet, right? So make sure you've got your fundamentals down as you start writing your own programs.

Hop on over to the Codecademy Ruby Track for a tutorial about the basics of Ruby. In Part 1: Introduction to Ruby, you'll learn about data types, variables, math, outputting to the terminal, and methods. Part 2: Putting the Form in Formatter looks at how to get input from the user, then has you build your very own application.
