lab-agile-planning's Issues

Need a service that has a counter

As a User,
I need a service that has a counter,
So that I can keep track of how many times something was done.

Details and Assumptions

  • need a way to increment the counter
  • need a way to get the current value

Acceptance Criteria

Given I have incremented the value to 2
When I make a call to get the current value
Then it should return the current value as 2

Need the ability to update a counter to a new value

As a System Administrator,
I need the ability to update a counter to a new value,
So that the counter starts from a new value.

Details and Assumptions

  • [document what you know]

Acceptance Criteria

Given [some context]
When [certain action is taken]
Then [the outcome of action is observed]

Counters can be reset

As a System Administrator,
I need the ability to reset the counter,
So that I can redo counting from the start.

Details and Assumptions

  • The counter can be reset to value 0
  • The counter cannot have value below 0 (negative)(

Acceptance Criteria

Given the current value of the counter is 2
When the counter is reset
Then the service should return 0 as a current value

Need the ability to remove a counter

As a System Administrator,
I need the ability to remove existing counter,
So that service does not use it anymore.

Details and Assumptions

  • The counter's value cannot be restore once it is removed
  • The process of removing counter is irreversible

Acceptance Criteria

Given the current counter value is 2
When counter is removed
Then the counter should dissapear from the service
and service will throw an error for any attempt to get the value of that counter thereafter

Must allow multiple counters

As a User,
I need to have multiple counters,
So that I can keep track of several counts at once.

Details and Assumptions

  • [document what you know]

Acceptance Criteria

Given [some context]
When [certain action is taken]
Then [the outcome of action is observed]

Deploy service to the cloud

As a DevOps Engineer,
I need to deploy service to the cloud,
So that users can start using the new features.

Details and Assumptions

  • We will deploy it to the IBM Cloud
  • We will use Cloud Foundry app

Acceptance Criteria

Given the service is deployed to the cloud
When user goes to the application
Then service should return current counter value

Must persist counter across restarts

As a Service Provider,
I need the service to persist the last known count,
So that users don’t lose track of their counts after the service is restarted.

Details and Assumptions

  • We will used Redis database
  • Counter will be stored as a name-value pair

Acceptance Criteria

Given than I incremented the counter value to 2
When I restart the service
Then the current value of counter has to be still returned as 2

Deploy service to the cloud

As a DevOps Engineer,
I need to deploy service to the cloud,
So that users can start using the new features.

Details and Assumptions

  • We will deploy it to the IBM Cloud
  • We will use Cloud Foundry app

Acceptance Criteria

Given the service is deployed to the cloud
When user goes to the application
Then service should return current counter value
