github auth requires unique email, multiple emails are null , mongo can't handle this about pullup HOT 6 CLOSED

This is the same error I got when trying to log in, but I only have one email in my Github profile.

I ran into this as well. I propose making the email field an unimportant one.

Depending on where we land re: authentication, I further propose a more-or-less rewrite of the current auth code.

I had tried to make the email field non-unique, but I might have failed, I'll take a look. Overall I agree, email address isn't important to the site, unless we want to do email notifications to users in the future?

Worked for me, but I created a pull request to fix an issue with creating users even after they were denied for not being on the authorized users list. I think that was one cause of the dup key.

Ok great I just merged and released that, so I'm going to close this, hopefully fixed.
