So, I figured that code pushed to the repository won't automagically appear in the chrome web store or appear in an extension update, which leads me to guess that your current plan is to manually push the different versions?
If this is the case, I recommend setting up either a CircleCI or a TravisCI automation (this would also be good for enforcing test for any PR) and possibly have it push to the chrome web store if a certain branch is updated. For instance, we could have a "prod" branch that when code is pushed signals an update. Also, since this is an open source project it should be free for us to do this.

Rewrite using best practices.

Using //www.github.com rather than https://www.github.com or http://www.github.com in the url would be more versatile solution for http and https conflict since the extension on chrome.

New loading icons are the second most requested thing on imgur after favorite folders, so I figure that is the next logical step for this extension. The only downside I can think of is that new loading icons on imgur are a bit of a joke, rather than a real issue. However, it should greatly enhance the meme value of this extension, which should drastically increase the popularity for such a dank site as imgur.

What license is this under? If you haven't chosen one - I recommend MIT.
