First of all, thank you for your work, I've dived into your code and it seems to be very well built!
Still, I've tried to install the add-on on Blender 2.83, and had to modify a little bit the addon to make it compatible with the named version. Unfortunately, the addon doesn't want to be enabled and I get the following error :
"OSError : %1 is not a Win32 valid application"

Also, I tried to install an older version of Blender to see if it was working, but I had the same problem...
I think that it is potentially related to a version problem of Scipy and/or Numpy in the lib folder, or even my python version (3.8)...

Could you please tell me what version of the different libraries you use and your python version? Thank you in advance for your answer!

I imported a.stl file into Blender and activated the plugin according to usage, but I couldn't find "segment mesh" after pressing F3. I want to know the solution.

I'm trying to segment the following mesh (it's a hard drive with components) into component meshes.

In, short I'd like to have this:

I am Ubuntu 18 and I followed the instructions, however, after several seconds of processing, I see no output, nothing pops up. Does this mean that the mesh segmentation failed? What are the parameters that I need to adjust, and how can I know what value would fit the best for my case? I do know the number of components/segments I need to have, but others - no clue.

Any idea?

Thank you for your code.

I install the addon and activate the add-on by ticking the box, but when i select the original cube in main view and hit F3 to type into "Segment Mesh" there is no search result.
So i confused that whether there is a limitation of segment mesh object or i have error opertation in install process.

My blender version is 2.83 with python3.74(SciPy)

can you give a reference paper or something which you used as inspiration for this work?
i already googled and found some papers for mesh clustering by spectral clustering.
Which would you suggest?
