google-maps-api-cms's Issues

Visual aesthetic plan

  • For the visual aesthetic of the site there should be smartly placed pastel colors (aqua, orange, light green?) and rounded corners (baseline 8px)

  • suddle fade/blur effects on entrance/exit of some elements, always short and maybe only on entrance OR exit and not both directions

** The centerpiece of the visual look/feel is intelligently places 3D models**

  • The main starting place is the 3 main options for voting for neighborhood properties being displayed in this way with clean bullet point pro's and cons below each one
  • also one of the main reasons for using angular as through research there's some really well made plugins where you can light the model programmatically

(aqua, orange, light green?) - the reason for this color pallet is that it would match a 3D model of a house with orange accents, blue windows, and green grass around it

  • big clear text, not cluttered, UI's

Loading speed managment plan (map loading and display)

  • One of the easiest ways to segment data to a small enough region to load effectively is by zip code, which has the added benefit of people not being scared to give out (low friction)

  • If there was a way to find all adjacent zip codes within 100miles of a specific zip code you could preload the surrounding data as well

  • A scroll event on the map could be linked to load specific data in the area being zoomed into

  • For a zoomed out scenario of the map a specific set of zip codes in each region of the country could be loaded to populate the areas where the user can zoom in further to a region showing a pin

Short term features

  • map auto zooms at a reasonable level to the zip code a user types in
  • user can set location for the map to snap to for next login
