quick-launch's Introduction

quick-launch

Please note that this plugin is no longer maintained.

Quick Launch is an Intellij plugin that lets you favorite run configurations and quickly access them from new tool window. This greatly help if you constantly need to change active run configuration in your project for example when you have separate configuration for server and application or a game and editor.

quick-launch

Install from JetBrains Plugin Repository.

Usage

Press plus icon to open dialog and select run configurations you want to add to favorites. After adding you can double click any configuration to quickly launch it. You can also press button with debugger icon to toggle launching configuration in debug mode.

There is one limitation to this plugin, since I haven't found a way to get notified when run configuration is changed after deleting run configuration you will have to delete it from favorites list manually or restart IDE. If you rename run configuration you will have to readd it to favorites.

quick-launch's Issues

Running quick launch changes currently active configuration

I use standard active configuration tool (the dropdown) to run different junit tests. Then I use the quick launch to run different build tasks.
When I run any of the quick launch tasks, the currently selected active configuration (some junit) is deselected and the quick launch task is selected instead.

I expect the quick launch plugin to run the task without changing the currently active configuration dropdown.

Fix for new IntelliJ version

Hi,
the plugin is now marked as incompatible for the current version of IntelliJ (I use mainly Goland). Is there any plan to look into it? I find it extremely useful, and if this is abandoned I will likely fork it, but I prefer to stick to this if possible.

Thanks

Running quick launch does not open messages tab to view output

When I run any task via quick launch the "Messages" tab is not opened.

I expect the quick launch to behave similarly to standard active configuration runs.
Adding some configuration property whether to show or not to show Messages tab would be even more awesome :)
