wikiaactivitylogger's Introduction

WikiaActivityLogger

A simple tool built in Node.js for logging activity of a FANDOM wiki through several transports (only supported transports were Discord, desktop notifications and Slack).

As of 27th June 2018, the tool no longer works on FANDOM due to the way it fetches activity (polling the MediaWiki API). A new tool, KockaLogger, has been released on July 2nd which has severely optimized activity log fetching but, unfortunately, cannot be used by everyone like WikiaActivityLogger could. If you have been hosting WikiaActivityLogger prior to 27th June 2018, contact @KockaAdmiralac if you want to set your activity logs back up.

Archived documentation can be found here.

Allow updates to be posted as embeds

Would it be possible to make it so that, as an option, users could choose that the updated be posted as an embed?
It should only require a valid embed object and an additional parameter in the POST request and would allow users to customize the messages further.

Throwing HTTP 403 errors

The issue is on Wikia's side and it is unknown if it will be fixed. A new tool is being worked on, contact me if you want to get your already existent logger working again.
