Thanks for your project.
Do you have any plans for adding functionality allowing to only get AIS data for a specified area with eg geojson?

It should be possible to create settings to get another zoom level and geoposition of center etc

Consider using pydantic to allow both configuration files and environment variables. Also look into using .env file for docker compose for this.
