Manuel Desire

Description

"Manuel Desire" is a video game that originated as a result of a seminar project in the subject of "Computer Graphics" in the second year of studies (Faculty of Information Technologies, UNMO).

It was also created for the Game Development competition within the FIT Coding Challenge in 2022, where it secured the 4th place.

The essence of the game lies in street drag races with a more realistic simulation of gear shifting, where unlike other games, the player in this game must shift gears individually.

Additionally, randomness is incorporated into the game, reflected in randomly generated tracks.

Details on the functionality of the game are found below in the "Features" section.

Development

  • Game engine: Unity
  • Languages: C#

Installation

In the "Releases" section, you can find the Installer available for download.

Features

  • The game features two maps on which you can race.
  • Tracks are randomly generated each time a new race starts.
  • There are obstacles that must be avoided on the tracks.
  • You have the option to choose from four available cars for racing.
  • Cars differ in power, speed, and weight.
  • Gear shifting is performed by individually switching gears on the keyboard.
  • Realistically simulated engine force of the cars.
  • Race time measurement.
  • During the race, it's possible to overheat or crash the car.
