Given the success of the settings class introduced in 4cc580d, functionality will be slowly transfered into helper/core classes, where appropriate.

Major changes implemented by 1326ad3 through creation of item, member, loan and fine classes. Additional minor changes and I'd consider this issue closed.

There are still some attrocities like the helper file and the deletion control flow hack but otherwise I would consider this issue closed. Any minor issues can be opened as their own issue.
